Christmas at Uncle Ronnie's

We did a quick photo session at the end of our Christmas at Ronnie's yesterday. As you can see by Bryce, we should have done it earlier because he was a little cranky in all the pictures. This is Bryce with his Mema and Papa Ewers.
This is Mema and Papa with the line of Ewers men.
This is a picture of the five generations on Ryan's dad's side of the family starting with Bryce's Great Great Grandmother Carlene, then Mema Ruthie, then Ryan's dad Joe (Papi), then Ryan, and Finally Bryce!
This is all of the Ewers men with Grandma Carlene.

Bryce's First Christmas

Bryce on his very first Christmas morning. He woke up at about 8:45 am and even got to see snow for the first time. It snowed here last night and there was still plenty of snow covering the ground on Christmas morning.
Where is Bryce? Bryce needed help opening his presents, but once they were opened he did not want any help playing with them. We quickly took the boxes the toys came in away so that Bryce would play with the toy and not the box.
Then we went to Grammy and Papi's house to celebrate. Bryce loved all of the food that Grammy, Papi, Mema, and Papa cooked. He played and played and never took his nap.
sweet baby! I have more pictures I wanted to post, but it only lets me post four so I will post some more tomorrow.

Japanese Food Birthday

Last night Bryce got to go to a Japanese restaurant to celebrate Grammy & Ronnie's birthday! Bryce loved to watch the cook set the fire and make the food. He was a little scared at first when the fire got really big.
This is Bryce on Uncle Chad's lap watching the fire.
This is Bryce with his Mema.
Bryce and mama! Bryce loved the fried rice. He would not let you take a bit of the rice yourself, he just kept grabbing for the rice. The whole family took turns feeding Bryce so everyone could get a chance to eat their food.

Grammy's Birthday!

Yesterday, for Grammy's Birthday we went to Babe's to eat. Then we went back to Erik and Tiffany's house to do Christmas with the Peterman's. This is Hope, Erik and Tiffany's husky. As you can see Bryce loves her! He kept giving her lots of hugs. It was so sweet!
Bryce was a little slow to open his presents, but he caught on pretty quickly once he realized there were cool toys behind the paper.
Grammy had to wear a chicken hat at Babes because it was her birthday. Bryce was fascinated by the chicken hat, but he did not want it on his head.
This is just a funny pic I threw in from a couple days ago. Bryce took a lot of the bows off of the presents under the tree and in the process somehow got one stuck on his bottom!

Ya Ya and Chad are home!

This is Ryan trying to get Bryce to take steps in front of Chad and Carlee by offering him treats!
Aunt YaYa and Grammy put Bryce in the blanket and swung him around.
We thought this was so funny. The dogs could not understand why Bryce was getting treats and they were not. When Grammy would hand Bryce a treat they would gather around waiting for their treat.
This is Bryce and Grammy playing "watch out horsey". Bryce loves to fall down backwards onto Grammy's legs. He cannot stop laughing when they play that game.

Uncle Nate

Today, Bryce got to hang out with his Uncle Nate! We went to Olive Garden...Bryce loves their bread sticks just like mommy.
This is the Christmas outfit that Grammy got Bryce...so cute! With his hat on he looks like a little elf.
Yesterday, Bryce got to have a play date with his best buddy Gage. Bryce loved to play with Gage while he was in his jumper. There is a six month age difference between the boys so we are hoping that when they are both walking they will get along great.

Old man Bryce

Grammy and Papi put the glasses on Bryce and amazingly he kept them on...so of course we took lots of pictures of little old man Bryce.
Bryce loves to roll around on the floor and laugh. He took five steps towards mommy today! He's not taking steps regularly, but he is very close.
This is Bryce by the tree. In order to get a close up of Bryce standing, not much of the tree gets captured in the background. He loves to take ornaments off the tree and play with them.
Yep, my 11 month old son can now escape out of the house. He was playing with the dog door and I went to get the camera and he was almost completely out of the door! I brought him back inside and let him play with it again to see if the first time he was able to get out was just a fluke. And he quickly lifted the flap and crawled outside again. So now we have to be extra careful when he is near the doggy door.

Update on Bryce

You guessed it more dishwasher pics! I literally have to put Bryce in a different room when I load or unload the dishes because he thinks that it is his own personal fort to climb all over.
I did learn however that Bryce can now climb on the dishwasher and get items out of the top shelf. He also likes to get into the refrigerator. If Bryce is near the refrigerator when you open it he races towards it before you close it and will not let you close it. So now when I need to get into the fridge I race to get things in and out and shut the door before Bryce can crawl over.
This is Bryce's first time in a remote control chair....and just like his dad when we tried to take the remote control away from him he threw a fit!
This is Bryce in his walker. He gets around in his walker very well now. Bryce is so close to walking...he stands up now without pulling up on anything. Also, Bryce has a new trick. He can shake his head "no". It is really cute. He is also waving hello and bye. And lately he has been obsessed with impressing Ryan and I with his strength. Bryce has a tree house toy that is about as big as he is and he waits until we are watching him and he works really hard to pick up his tree house toy and lift it as high as he can. He even makes this grunting noise when he does it. and he holds it up as long as he can until we clap and praise him and then he smiles real big and puts his toy down. I have temporarily taken this toy away because he lifts it so much that I am afraid he is going to hurt himself.

Got Fire?

Sorry this pics are not turned right. Grammy and Papi got us gas logs for Christmas and they were installed today. This is Bryce's first fire!
Bryce kept crawling up to it and looking and then crawling away.
When I tried to take a full length picture Bryce kept crawling away. The baby gates take away from the view, but they are sooooooooooo necessary.
The most beautiful baby boy Ever!

Uncle Nate, Turkey Day & Lights

The day before Thanksgiving we had a small thanksgiving with Uncle Nate!
Bryce loves Uncle Nate because he has as much energy as Bryce has!
This is Bryce on Thanksgiving morning with his turkey visor on.
Bryce was very "Helpful" when we were putting up all of our Christmas decorations.

Bryce's First STARS Game!

Bryce loved to touch the Hockey glass and watch the players on the ice...he kept waving at everything!
Whenever the special guest band played when the stars game was not on Bryce covered his ears. He did not like their heavy metal singing...it was really cute. It is so funny now that Bryce has his own little personality and can let everyone know what he likes and dislikes.
As soon as Bryce was born Ryan told me that he could not wait to take him to his first Stars game. Bryce loved to watch all of the people and the lights and say "Yay!" and throw his hands up in the air.
Bryce and Papi. Papi walked Bryce around the stadium so he got the full experience at his first stars game! Bryce went in full Stars gear to support his team. The Stars won in overtime! It was a great first game for Bryce.

Mini Fort

This is a picture from a couple of weeks ago, but everyone loved the dishwasher post so I thought it might interest everyone to know that Bryce can actually climb on top of the dishwasher door all by himself! He likes to open and close the the lid that holds the dishwasher packet.
Ryan gave Bryce a small box and at first Bryce started putting his toys in it and taking them out and then....
He decided to put himself in it! I think he was trying it out as a mini fort.
He tried and tried to fit his entire body in the box. Finally I put him in the box feet first and let him scrunch up and he got to surprise Ryan when he popped up out of the box.

Like Father Like Son

Bryce went to see Jenner on Friday up at work. Jenner let him play with the calculators and he loved pressing all of the buttons. Maybe he will be a numbers man like Ryan.
Like father like son. We got Bryce a baby computer for Christmas, but he found it in my "super secret" hiding place in the kitchen and started playing with it so we let him have it early. Tonight, Ryan got on his computer and Bryce got his computer out of his toy box and put it on the couch next to Ryan and started typing on his computer. When Bryce did not think that Ryan knew what he was doing he took his computer and put it on Ryan's lap...what a cutie!
My two businessmen hard at work on their computers!
This is a picture I took of Bryce because he was stuck between the kitchen chairs under the kitchen table...I have know idea how he was able to wedge himself in there!
